Is Wax Poetic Wine Bar 21 and over?
All ages are welcome, and we offer several non-alcoholic and under 21 options. Please note that Wax Poetic is an intimate, wine-focused dining experience and is not suitable for rowdy children.

Is there a dress code?
Please feel free to come-as-you-are. Many guests enjoy dressing up a bit - our space feels a bit like a fancy party.

What is the Wi-Fi password?
We strive to create an experience that feels like a step back into a simpler time.  We encourage conversation & personal connection.

As our entire operation relies on Wi-Fi, we do not offer public Wi-Fi due to bandwidth limitations. We hope you’ll take this as an invitation to put your phone away and stay awhile.

Can I bring my dog?
We wish!
Due to health department regulations, only trained service animals performing a specific task are permitted inside the restaurant. We hope to offer outdoor dining in the future so you can enjoy Wax Poetic with your best four-legged friend.

Is the venue available for private events?
Absolutely!  We’ve hosted everything from birthday celebrations and wrap parties to retirement gatherings. Please visit our Private Events page for more details.

What about parking?
Magnolia Park offers an abundance of free street parking along the Boulevard.
We encourage the use of rideshare services or Metro when possible, and kindly ask that guests refrain from parking in nearby residential neighborhoods.

Do you take reservations?
We do! Please click the reservation link to book a table.
Walk-ins are always welcome as well.

Do you offer full meals or small plates?
We’re known for our Build-Your-Own Cheese & Charcuterie Boards. Other guest favorites include Beef Carpaccio, Roasted Buttery Shrimp, locally made kielbasa and käsekrainer, Panzanella salad, and of course our fresh-baked mini baguettes.

Our menu features thoughtfully prepared dishes that pair beautifully with wine—perfect for sharing or enjoying as a light meal.

Do you allow outside food or wine?
To maintain the integrity of our food and wine program, outside food and beverages are not permitted.

How long is the typical dining experience?
Honestly? Our guests linger.
We encourage you to escape, connect, and indulge for as long as it takes. Most guests stay around 90 minutes—though some seem to be here all night.

Is Wax Poetic good for dates or quiet conversation?
Wax Poetic is one of the most romantic spots in town. Our space is designed for connection, conversation, and a relaxed, intimate evening.
